A small family farm in Weirsdale, Florida, just southeast of Ocala. Dutch warmbloods and Connemara crosses, planned one pairing at a time, raised out on grass in a barn filled with chaos, nonsense, and love.
The Farm
Aisling Farms sits in Weirsdale, on the quiet end of Marion County, close enough to Ocala to be in the middle of everything and far enough out to be peaceful. It is a family farm in the truest sense: everybody here has a job, including the kids, and most days end with somebody covered in shavings.
Most of what we breed is Dutch warmblood, registered with the KWPN, and we have brought along Connemara crosses too, which are hard to beat for an eventing rider who wants blood and sense in the same package. Every pairing starts with the mare, her damline, and what she actually produces, then works toward stallions with real records in the ring. The goal is not volume. It is a handful of horses a year that are correct, sound, and nice to be around.
Our young horses grow up outside, in a herd, on Florida grass. They get handled from the first day, hauled before they are asked to work, and taught that people are the easy part. By the time they are backed, almost nothing about the process is new to them.
Our Program
Dutch warmblood mares matched to proven dressage, jumping, and eventing stallions, plus Connemara crosses when the cross calls for it. Every pairing is planned around temperament and rideability first, then movement and scope.
Atlas, our buckskin colt, placed fifth in the nation at the 2025 KWPN jumper foal inspections, which is a fair measure of whether the planning is working.
Weanlings through three year olds live out together on grass, with room to move and other horses to learn manners from. Daily handling, feet, clipping, trailering, and vet work all become routine long before anyone sits on them.
Quiet, correct starts under saddle, with no rush and no shortcuts. Young horses leave here forward, honest, and easy in their bodies, ready to go on toward dressage, the jumper ring, or an eventing career.
One Horse, Start to Finish
This is easier to show than to explain, so here is one horse start to finish. Zenni is by Cloud de Poker, a Connemara, out of our Westphalian mare Liina, who is by Lotus T. We wanted the scope and the movement of the warmblood with the sense and the surefootedness of the Connemara, in a horse a child could grow up alongside.
June 2022
Coletta met her the day she was born and said right then that Zenni was hers. She never changed her mind.
2024
Grown up outside in the herd and handled every day. No rush to back her. By this age the farrier, the clippers, the trailer, and the vet are all just part of the week.
2025
Coletta sat on her for the first time and Zenni did not care one bit. Quiet and boring, which is exactly what you want.
August 2026
Five months away being properly started, then back in her own barn. Coletta walked in, saw her, and cried. Five years from choosing the cross to a horse she can ride, bred and raised here the entire way.
Eight Years Earlier
Zenni is not the first time this cross has worked. I competed Willa T, a Holsteiner by Lotus T, through recognized Training level eventing before she was ever a broodmare. She gave us one foal here, Keelie, in June 2014, by the Connemara stallion Ardceltic Art and registered as an Irish Sport Horse.
Keelie was born here, grew up here, and stayed until April 2026, when she sold as an eleven year old. Zenni is out of Liina, Willa T's half sister by the same Lotus T. Two different mares, the same thinking, eight years apart, and both times we got a horse we were glad to have.

Wenke's breeding is dressage royalty, Blue Hors Zack over an OO Seven mare. She has the temperament to match. A true lady with flawless barn manners, easy to handle, and about as stress free as a broodmare gets.
She is exceptionally easy to get in foal, with both fresh and frozen semen, and she is an outstanding, attentive mother who consistently produces elite quality. Her 2025 colt is Nico, listed right beside her here, and he was awarded premium at his KWPN inspection. Confirmed in foal to Solière for 2027, so she can go as a two in one package for a serious breeding program. The foal is also offered on its own, listed below.
A premium KWPN yearling gelding with world class FEI dressage genetics and a heart of gold, out of our mare Wenke, listed right beside him here. He has the sensitive, highly intelligent nature of a real athlete wrapped around a genuinely sweet temperament, and he thrives on bonding with his person.
Nico is well handled, loads, ties, and is completely unbothered by farm life, which here means small kids, lots of cats, and animals going past at speed. Uphill frame, big ground covering movement, and good bone. He has the mechanics and the heart to go a long way for an ambitious rider.
Solière is a black Hanoverian stallion standing 16.3 hh, foaled 2004, licensed at Redefin in 2006 and approved with most of the major books. He is clear of WFFS. He won two classes for four year old stallions at Verden, and was Reserve National Champion at the 2020 US Festival of Champions. His granddam, St. Pr. Elfe, produced the stallion Fidermark.
Wenke is easy to get in foal, an attentive mother, and her 2025 colt was premium at his KWPN inspection. This foal can go with her or on its own. Price is private treaty, so get in touch and we can talk.
Our approach
We breed for the brain first.
Movement and jump are worth nothing in a horse nobody wants to ride. A good mind is the one thing you cannot train in later, so it is the first thing we look for in a mare, in a stallion, and in every foal that hits the ground here.
